This PlayStation 1 Secret Feature Remained Hidden For 28 Years
Where today we’re actually going to be looking at a secret feature that nobody ever knew about on the original playstation 1.now this secret has to do with the ps1 memory card which is where game data save files are kept when you’re not using the system so in order for this trick to work we need to first insert the memory card to the playstation like this and then we are going to open the ps1 disk tray with this button and then we are going to press the power button to turn on the system and once the playstation is on we can go to the memory card screen where it shows all of your save data for your games now if for some reason your memory card was getting too full or you needed to free up some space you could simply delete a save file but let’s say you accidentally deleted the wrong file or game well not too many people knew that there was actually a secret way to bring it back and it was as simple as pressing the r1 r2 L1 L2 at exact same time and as you can see we just brought back our save file that we accidentally deleted now the reason why that this is such a big deal is because to my knowledge this feature was never mentioned in the ps1 user guide i checked several versions of it and i wasn’t able to find anything of course it’s very possible that i had missed it or i didn’t see it but i checked pretty carefully and i didn’t see anything second reason is because from what i know this secret feature was never brought back or added to the playstation 2 and it was exclusive to the playstation one only so yeah all of these years later now you know you could actually recover an accidentally deleted save file on your playstation 1 i hope you like my information.
