There is an all new handle gaming device the lenovo legion go and i think this is the best of the bunch and i say that because this is the first handheld gaming produced that could actually play first person shooters well like you be competitive in shooters on this device and i think that alone makes this product so much better than anything else that’s been on the market before like if you think about the way that handheld gaming products are perceived it’s usually for like a more casual crowd and even if you’re not a casual gamer and you pick up a handheld device usually you’re playing more casual games because shooters just don’t fly on a product like this we’re using thumbsticks and dpads like it’s just it’s a little different but this thing it’s got a trick up its sleeve so first of all let’s talk about the hardware when you look at this product i think the first thing that you’ll notice is that it has what seems to be a detachable set of controllers and they actually are so I’m just going to punch a little bit here this has a switch like controller experience and i say switch like only in mechanism not in functionality. Terms of the hardware itself this product like I’m just going to focus on the kind of base like the base unit first this is plastic at first in like Some of the leaked photos i thought this was like a metal device it’s not it’s a well made legion caliber plastic device it’s like very solid and there venting back here for the airflow uh obviously if you’re kickstanding underneath the kickstand is just a sticker Basically takes the best bits of the steam deck the rally and the nintendo switch and pack it all in this very impressive and also very chunky new windows gaming handheld so it’s kind of like they’ve taken the r ally with the same AMD Z1 extreme processor under the hood added a big 8 inch screen with an even sharper quad HD resolution there are more controls and buttons than you can shake a stick at and it does even include a small touchpad which a lot of people love from the steam deck they’ve also added a fully adjustable kickstand big fan of that and like the Nintendo switch you can even undock the controllers which means you don’t have to hold it the whole time plunk it down and play remotely even plug it into your tv or monitor because the go actually has two USB 4 ports one on the bottom where you could maybe plug in the charger and then one on the top for outputting to a monitor or a tv.
