Number 1 pricing is one of the most important things when it comes to buying video games and with physical games buying them cheaper is one of the biggest advantage over digital media when a game is new it cost the full price but if you can wait a little the price tends to go down over time and after a while you can find good discount quite easily not to mention that physical games lose their peak value as soon as the first time you seal is broken so buying them used but cheaper is also a good alternative. So physical games are a much better deal in terms of prices if you&#8217;re on budget Number 2 sometimes you need money to buy more games or consoles and sometimes you need money for something else and in both cases letting go games you&#8217;ve already beaten is extremely useful you can sell any of your physical games to other gamers or shops which will Make you a decent amount of your money back and you spend it on anything. Digital games cannot be sold unfortunately so that&#8217;s an entire advantage from physical games that is lost on digital releases. Number 3 sharing video games helps people experience different things without having to pay for them with physical games its as easy simply handing the games over to your friends with little to nothing else required but physically sharing a games comes with its limitations first of all if its a pc game you might not be able to share it at all because most of them come with cd keys that are assigned to a single person who registers the game to their account. Secondly and not just for pc games physical releases offer come with dlc codes and they are registered to a single account so anyone you share the game with will be unable to access any additional content digital games on the other hand have a lot more to offer first of all you can share your entire library at any time that you want and you don&#8217;t have to worry about lending a game and not having it for some time instead then we have the fact that digitally sharing games means yours dlc is shared with the other person too which is something that you can&#8217;t do with physical games. Number 4 before the current generation of consoles physical games were considered faster to get playing since you could simply pop them into your console and start playing immediately but as time went on more and more frequently you had to download and install updates to play the game and ofcourse you can launch a game without the updates on some consoles but depending on the game. Digital on the other hand is a complete download from the very beginning and some games can be played even before the full download is completed in the background its overall a faster and more convenient method. Number 5 backwards compatibility is something that unfortunately has lost its relevance in physical games in the old days you could do things like insert a ps1 game into a ps2 to enjoy it without any problem and Nintendo offered similar capabilities in their handheld consoles too but that started to change in later generations as sony removed the backwards compatibility features fron their older consoles and nintendo kept changing their format which ultimately did the same thing for that reason digital gaming is the best option that we have for backwards compatibility and of course
